As technology begins to play a larger role in our everyday lives, it also becomes more important in the classroom. There are many reasons to include technology in classrooms, not the least of which is that it makes planning lessons easier for teachers. Through technology, access to digital resources becomes possible.
Digital resources are a huge improvement over physical images, DVDs and documents because they can easily be stored in one place and located at the click of the button each year – no more digging through cabinets to find the resources needed to accompany a lesson. Additionally, with digital resources, you never have to worry about physical damage to your resources. Digital images can’t rip and digital videos can’t scratch. Many teachers are already using digital resources, especially images and videos, in their class. The Digital Resources in the Classroom Infograhic shows the benefits of technology and digital resources as seen by teachers.
