School Counselors: Key to Student Success Infographic

At its most fundamental level, school counseling programs promote and enhance the learning process for all students — ensuring the academic, career and personal/social development of students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. The goal of school counselors and their programs is to ensure that today’s students are tomorrow’s learners — turning their classrooms, schools and districts into positive learning environments.

To gain a deeper understanding of school counselors' impact on today's students, Counseling@NYU has created School Counselors: Key to Student Success Infographic in support of NYU's new online master in school counseling programs. This infographic demonstrates the impact that school counselors have on K-12 student success: college readiness, academic outcomes, and social-emotional learning.
