Higher education is changing – and changing quickly. The “typical” 18 year-old student who leaves home for 4 years to attend a university is not so typical anymore. Many factors have come into play in recent years. Several factors include the economic downturn, an increase in those attending community colleges, an increase in students seeking certificates or associate degrees, and more adult students who attend classes part-time while working full-time. Add to the mix the burgeoning number of universities offering online courses, MOOCS, and more.
